NTV special correspondent: Forgive my participation in propaganda madness
Konstantin Goldenzweig

Konstantin Goldenzweig, NTV special correspondent in Germany, left the channel.

He wrote it on Facebook on June 9. Earlier, he commented German television on the absence of Russia's president at the G7 summit in Bavaria, naviny.by reports.

"I voluntarily leave NTV (I know it is a late decision). I have worked here with breaks for 12 years. Thanks to wonderful colleagues for your support, lessons you gave me, ability to forgive, and your friendship. Thanks to those who watched me. And forgive me for being a part, from time to time, of a common propaganda madness", Goldenzweig wrote.

Earlier on June 9 the pro-Kremlin blogger Marina Yudenich placed an article at her LiveJournal "Does Kremlin change its foreign policy course? Is Konstantin Goldenzweig a new Vladimir Putin's press secretary?” The author presents the interview of the NTV journalist to ZDF TV channel, where he shares his opinion, not common for an employee of the federal TV.

According to Goldenzweig, Putin would like to be invited to the G-7 Summit. To attract attention of western leaders, he left for Italy during a Bavarian meeting. The journalist also characterized Putin's policy as a "cynical" one, the regime in Russia - authoritarian and similar to the "late Brezhnev's". Besides, Goldenzweig stated that Russia was interested in the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine.

The political analyst Alexander Morozov responded to this story in Facebook as follows:

"Yesterday there occurred a scandal with NTV. It was of such power that such a miserable blogger as Marina Yudenich was involved to "cope with" the situation. Kostya Goldenzweig lives in Berlin - NTV correspondent. He and the crew left for G7 Summit in Bavaria. There he, found time hang very heavy on his hands (no reports about G7 meetings without Putin were requires), was interviewed by the German ZDF TV channel. At once a careful viewer made a denunciation from Germany. Kulistinov (Director General of the TV Company) had a call from Kremlin and was shouted at. Goldenzweig was immediately dismissed. Yesterday he wrote that he was tired of NTV propaganda and did not regret of his comments to ZDF TV channel".
