Five websites blocked for drug advertising

Information Ministry blocked access to five internet resources, "which repeatedly advertised medicinal products".

The press service of the Information Ministry informed charter97.org.

"In accordance with written notification of the Ministry of Trade, under the law of the Republic of Belarus "On Mass Media" On June 23, 2015 the Ministry of Information decided to block the access to the Internet resources www.bizator.by, www.ekomok.by, www.ilotok.by, www.localmart.by, www.slanet.by.

They repeatedly advertised medical substances. Such advertisements are considered improper and not allowed in accordance with the legislation on advertising.

Law No. 38 of the Republic of Belarus "On Mass Media" does not allow disseminating such information, the statement says.
