The inspection of the reinforcement system of the borderline surveillance in the south direction and territorial defence of the Homel region is continued.

The Defence Ministry informed charter97.org.

Within the inspection two mobile companies of the 38th Guards separate mobile brigade of the Special Operations Forces of Armed Forces are combat-ready and will march in the Brest-Homel direction. Later they will be under command of the State Border Committee to increase borderline surveillance southward.

Staff organization on territorial defence of Yelsk district, Homel region, and separate infantry company of territorial troops in Yelsk is being performed.

For this reason the district military registration and enlistment office holds recalls. In coming days the organizational training will take place. Further, a command and staff exercise of Homel regional bodies of territorial defence to practice actions of territorial troops will take place.

It must be emphasized the most important tasks are as follows: control of sensitive objects, adherence of military tasks together with military units of Armed Forces, fighting guerrilla troops and militia, participation in borderline surveillance of the Republic of Belarus.

Area defence system of Belarus started its existence in 2001. In 2002 practical actions of territorial troops were first practiced in a battle exercise "Berezina 2002" in Barysau district.

The world events of the recent years confirm validity of then-made decisions.

This year the main attention will be given to practical trainings in stepwise borderline surveillance, control of sensitive objects, and organization of interaction between forces of respective departments in mission execution within a unit plan on borderline surveillance.
