Work accident in Dzyatlava: worker died from electric shock

The management of the plant is hushing up this incident. The worker left a widow and a 2-year-old son.

The tragic incident took place on May 27 in the town of Dzyatlava, Hrodna region, charter97.org website was informed by a reader with a reference to an account of the window in VKontakte social network.

On that day the worker of a construction and finishing team Dmitry Penda was puttying up in the building of the bakery of Dzyatlava branch of Hrodna regional consumer's association. In one of the premises there were live uninsulated cables. As a result of the electric shock the 32-year-old worker died at the scene.

“The management of the bakery shop has not even expressed condolences to me, there is no information about his death in newspapers or on TV!” the widow of the perished Volha Penda writes.

The chief managers of the plant told charter97.org: “He is not our worker, he is an employee of a construction firm, which was carrying out works at our enterprise on a contract. Investigation is to examine all this.” A representative of the management denied more detailed comments.

“The department of the Investigative Committee in Dzyatlava is investigating the fact of death of the dweller of Dzyatlava district, born in 1982. Necessary investigative actions are carried out, a forensic examination is to take place. Reasons of his death are to be established,” said the representative of the Investigative Committee Alyaksei Klimovich.

We remind that it is not the first incident on the territory of Dzyatlava bakery. Thus, on March 31, 2015 a part of a reinforced concrete floor collapsed. Fortunately, no one from workers was injured then.
