Belarusian 'king of glass' arrested?

According to sources, a well-known Belarusian businessman Aliaksandr Muraueu is arrested.

Law enforcement agencies do not confirm his arrest. His telephone is not available. According to Belarusian Partisan's source, the businessman and 10 his partners and subordinates were detained the day before in Minsk. The cause of the detention is violation of terms and conditions of an investment contract.

Kyky.org reports that the Investigative Committee of Belarus, the State Security Committee of the Republic, the Economic Crime Department of the Interior Ministry and OAO Motovelo do not confirm the information on businessman's detention.

None of telephones in Motovelo Inter are available. After a while they switch on a fax mode.

Aliaksandr Muraueu takes the 36th place in top-200 of successful and important businessmen of Belarus. He owns glass plant Elizovo, Belevrotara, Homel glass-container plant, Glass plant Vorga (Smolensk region), service and trading enterprises in Belarus, Austria and Russia, as well as consortium MVZ. It includes Motovelo and its subsidiaries (MVZ bicycle Corp., motorcycle company Minsk-Moto, Motovelo trading network) and a number of enterprises specialized in agricultural equipment, casting and etc. Muraueu used to be in head of the Belarusian Bicycle Federation not long ago.
