National Bank withdrew 4 trillion from bank system

In the course of the auction which is traditional for Wednesday, the National Bank of Belarus has withdrawn 4 trillions of the excessive ruble liquidity from banks.

10 participants were admitted to the auction, with yearly interests from 17.00% to 25.99%, for a total amount of 4,924.2 billion rubles, AFN reports.

As a result, the banking regulator set an actual flotation value at 4 trillion rubles, with a return at weighted average price equal to 18.89 per cent per annum.

It should be noted that the yield offered by the National Bank e is more than 277 basis points higher than the market price of ruble resources in the interbank market.
