Hrodna journalists accused of work without accreditation

Independent Hrodna journalists Ales Kirkevich and Ales Dzianisau are summoned to the police station.

Freelancers are repeatedly accused of cooperation with Belsat TV channel without accreditation under Article 2, paragraph 22.9 "Illegal production and dissemination of information". A story about the exhibition of dolls made by Lithuanian artists - it takes place in the Hrodna Exhibition Center - has become the reason, Belsat reports.

Ales Kirkevich has already been drawn up protocol against, Ales Dzianisau will go to the police tomorrow. Both refuse of testimony.

Artist Aliaksandr Silvanovich, an interviewee, and Iryna Silvanovich, gallery owner, are witnesses. It seems like they were too shy to summon Consul-General of Lithuania Aušra Černevičienė, also mentioned in the story, to the police.

Journalists think it is the way to block independent media from the sphere of culture. Every such case makes another door for independent media closed.

It should be reminded that the previous case against Dzianisau and Kirkevich was initiated under this Article this April, based on materials made in Hrodna Museum of History of Religion.
