Author of 'Mior' book denied to work as a teacher of history

Local authorities refuse to hire Siarhei Vasilieu as a teacher of history and culturology despite his earlier practice.

The teacher has recently published his book Mior. The press service of the Organizing Committee on creating the Belarusian Christian Democracy Party informed charter97.org. The teacher is the member of the party.

Another teacher proposed him the position in school No.2. Valery Draba, Head of Sport, Education and Tourism Department of Mior District Executive Committee, said that the position was busy.

Siargei Vasilieu has degrees in pedagogy and culturology. Until 2010 he used to work at school, but had to resign to take care of his mother. After the elections in 2010 he was arrested for 15 days for participation in the Square events. Then he failed to fill the vacancy of a teacher. He is denied any other job, because of his active civil position.
