Kostuseu and Ramanchuk on BT TV channel

Two former candidates for the presidency, appeared on BT TV channel, could speak out on Belarus-1 TV channel.

Hryhoryi Kostuseu, Deputy Chairman of the BPF, and Yaraslau Ramanchuk, Director of Mizes center, were the guests of Vadzim Hihin, linkman of Forum. The presidential elections were the topic of the programm.

Hryhoryi Kostuseu said in the interview with Nash Niva he had been surprised by that invitation. "Nevertheless, we should any opportunity to express our thoughts through television, radio, newspapers. There is a need to be extremely careful of what you're talking about lest to find yourself in a mess. Fortunately, everything was fine", Kostuseu says.

Philosopher Aliaksei Dermant, economist Mikhail Kavaleu, secretary of CEC Mikalai Lazovik were the opponents of Ramanchuk and Kostuseu.

"Lazovik and me had two war of words. The first happened in the very beginning after I mentioned the parliamentary elections in 2008, when an observer in Shklou district mentioned members of the commission signing blank protocols. The second occurred, when I said Europe would recognize the elections in case they were not rigged", Hryhoryi Kostuseu noted.

Nevertheless, the participator says there was no hatred between the parties. After the show I had a nice talk with Mr. Lazovik, I know Atamanau. There was no icejam between us".

It should be reminded that after the elections on December 19, 2010 almost all independent candidates for the presidency, as well as their staff were arrested. Yuaraslau Ramanchuk and Hryhoryi Kostuseu were among them. They were taken to the KGB remand prison, but were at large a few hours later and spoke on Belarusian television. Kostuseu called an action against ballot rigging a provocation; Ramanchuk accused other candidates for the presidency of its organization.
