Trade Ministry suspended work of 11 Posttorg shops

The Trade Ministry of Belarus has suspended work of 11 shops of Posttorg JCC public catering facilities.

Charter97.org was informed about that by the press-service of the agency.

During a surprise inspection, violations of the trade laws were found, for example, failure to follow assortment lists of goods, failure to observe storage temperatures for food products, absence of labels, as well as carrying out activities which promote sales of alcoholic beverages.

One in two inspected shops offered goods which were past their sell-by date.

The management of Posttorg JSC is given 10 days to take measures and to rectify discovered violations.
