Bundestag member Manuel Sarrazin: Mikalai Dziadok needs our support

Manuel Sarrazin, a German politician and Bundestag member (Alliance 90/The Greens), calls to express solidarity with Belarusian political prisoners.

He wrote it in his appeal, Radio Svaboda reports.

“The 23rd of August is the twenty-seventh birthday of Belarusian political prisoner Mikalai Dziadok. It is now the fifth birthday that Mikalai has been forced to spend in prison. Together, let‘s show him and the arbitrary system of justice that he is not alone and that we are following his case very closely. Please support my birthday card project by sending him your wishes,” Manuel Sarrazin called.

The politician published the exact address of the political prisoner:

Mikalai Dziadok, 213410, Mahiliou region, Horki, Vulica Dabraliubava, 16, PK-9, Republic of Belarus.

The German politician says that Mikalai Dziadok was accused of violating prison rules in 2014 and his sentence was prolonged by 15 months. The political prisoner is held in tough confinement conditions. He cut his abdomen and wrists, protesting against ill-treatment by prison staff.

Manuel Sarrazin adds that he took on a prisoner’s godparenthood for Mikalai Dziadok in June as part of Libereco project. The German politician demands the immediate and unconditional release of Mikalai Dziadok.
