Viktor Nebozhenko: Belarus' fate almost foredoomed
Viktor Nebozhenko

Ukraine is not the only aim of Putin: invasion threatened many neighbours of Russia.

Viktor Nebozhenko, Ukrainian political scientist, told a correspondent of Chronicle.

Unfortunately, Ukraine is not the only ground for conflict between the West and Russia, the same platform is being formed in Central Asia, in the zone of Karabakh, as well as in the zone of the Baltic States, which are a big temptation for Putin. As it is known, the strategic genius of Putin is based on the principle of a marauder. He attacks everything that is smaller and weaker", Viktor Nebozhenko thinks.

Political scientist stresses that Putin attacked Ukraine in the minute of historical weakness and now keep a close eye on the Baltic States from the suburbs of Saint Petersburg.

"Putin considers it an easy prey. That was exactly our President wanted to say. Not only Ukraine can be the object for aggression. We no longer speak about the fate of Belarus, which is almost foredoomed in the offices of the Kremlin, i.e. Poroshenko had reasons to say that Russia might start invasion on other directions. First of all, it could be Belarus or the attempt of invasion to the Baltic states", the expert says.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that Finland, the Baltic and the Black Sea states could become targets of military attacks of Russia.
