New details about the detention of spectators of a concert near Minsk.

Wife of a detainee told charter97.org about beating of people by the police. According to her, the detainees in Ratamka on August 1, spent 10 hours without water and food in the police department.

"One by one they were allowed to leave the paddy waggon, when they were brought to the police, he writes. - At the very end only five people left. There were speakers with loud music across the area, riot policemen ran into and started beating people inside. The music was loud, but screams were even louder. When the music stopped, it was able to hear the sound of batons. It lasted about a minute. Police officers just laughed at eyewitnesses' cries to stop it.

One of the detainees was locked in a cabinet of the police office and then beaten. Screams were heard and it was impossible to imagine what was happening there. After a while the door opened, a guy was lying on the floor, but police officers called two more colleagues to help. They were beating the guy, he screamed, but nobody managed to help him.

According to a guy, who spent the night in the office, guys were beaten up at night. He clearly heard cries and moaning.

Medical care, definitely, was out of question. The detainees spent at the Zhdanovichy police station more than 10 hours without food and water".

It should be reminded that the police dispersed the rock concert near Ratamka on August 1. About 50 participants are detained. Some of them will be held liable.
