Signatures for Lukashenka collected by people in T-shirts with Putin and “little green men”

Members of the Republican Youth Union in Hrodna are collecting signatures for nomination of Alyaksandr Lukashenka as a presidential candidate in T-shirts with an image of Vladimir Putin.

The young people stated that they consider the president of the neighbouring state a person who is “countering the aggression of the US” and is a guarantor of the security in the region, Radio Racyja informs.

After the events in Ukraine and an open support of the terrorist organisations of separatists from Donbas by Russia, many Hrodna dwellers have a negative attitude to such actions of representatives of the pro-governmental youth organisation. “There is no Belarusian here, I do not want Lukashenka to stay here – he is an anti-Belarusian president. And I want Belarus here! A real Belarus with Belarusian language, Belarusian culture. Where are Belarusian schools, Belarusian classes, signboards in Belarusian? One can hear the mother tongue only in a trolleybus. There are no other places,” Hrodna dwellers say.

Stepping up of activities of Vladimir Putin’s supporters during the presidential elections’ campaign is arousing serious concerns of dwellers of the capital of the region. Citizens do not exclude that provocative actions on their part are possible.
