Belarus' Marina Arzamasova wins 800m at IAAF World Championships in Beijing

Belarus' Marina Arzamasova won the gold medal in the final of the women's 800m athletics event at the 2015 IAAF World Championships at the "Bird's Nest" National Stadium in Beijing on 29 August 2015.

The final race featured the strongest rivals, each of whom showed the result of over 1.59 minute this season. However, on Saturday night Marina Arzamasova was in charge clocking 1:58.03 for the win. Canada's Melissa Bishop finished second in 1:58.12. Kenya's Eunice Jepkoech Sum came in third.

For Team Belarus Marina Arzamasova's gold was the second medal at the 2015 IAAF World Championships in Beijing. On Friday, 28 August, Alina Talay picked up the bronze medal in the 100m hurdles.
