The organizing committee on creation of the Belarusian Christian Democracy party (BCD) has started the collection of signatures against Russian military bases in Belarus.

First signatures were collected in Slonim, Brest and Homel, the BCD press-service reports. "People reacted in a positive way. No one wants a war in Belarus. And no one wants to be involved in military adventures. So people signed the petition with pleasure", the press-service quotes Vital Rymasheuski, co-Chairman of the organizing committee on creation of the BCD party, who also collected signatures.

The politician added that unfortunately, the Belarusian government "ignores the people's opinion". "If the Belarusians had a chance to choose the government and run the country through free election, no Russian soldier would step on the Belarusian land", Vital Rymasheuski is convinced.

The organizing committee of the BCD will keep holding such actions in Belarusian cities. Signatures collected under requirement against foreign base deployment in Belarus will be directed to the government and international structures.

The BCD organizing committee calls to join the action against Russian bases in Belarus.
