Belarusians expect situation deterioration

Trade Union of Radioelectronics held an opinion poll and found out the main economic fears.

Amid an official statistics, material well-being of our compatriots is not going to change for the better. However, it is clear that people are worried about a number of public issues, others issues are not so relevant. Answers to "How much are you worried about possible changes in your life?" (table), the first place is taken by food and services price increase (92%). Only 1% of respondents are not concerned about it, Ejednevnik reports.

Things the majority of citizens and villagers are concerned about: possible tariff increase on housing and public utility services (88%); salary decrease (83%) and drug prices increase (78%); job cuts (71%) and arrears in wages (70%), as well as lack of credit availability and their repayment (57%).

It is naturally based on today's realities. – What a country is this when a person needs a credit to prepare his child for a school year?" 43 year-old worker of Homel district angrily notes.

One more distinction is noted. Production problems are as follows: violation of personal rights of a worker (unrelated works, management rudeness, etc.); no production conditions (non-compliance with safety rules, lack of equipment, materials, etc.), every fifth respondent is not worried about lack of conditions for professional growth (accordingly 17%, 19%, 26%).

A more detailed consideration of problems for professional growth shows that only 26% of employees are concerned about the issue. There are only 25% of them in an agricultural sphere. Only 15% of white collars and state employees consider the issue relevant!

In other words, people are more interested in wages and job places than in normal working conditions! But it could be explained with a habit.

Nationwide survey of public opinion conducted by REP in August 7-23, 2015. Method is interviewing and questionnaires of people over 18 years old. 1499 people respondents are surveyed. Monitored parameters: place of residence and its size, gender, age, level of education. Non-sampling error does not exceed 0.5%.

How much are you concerned about possible changes? (%)
