The UCP leader Anatol Liabedzka called to come to the Supreme Court building to a protest rally on January 30 to support the reporter beaten by the riot police at a courthouse.

“Riot policemen have once again beaten people, citizens, a journalist. Someone will say there is nothing unusual, we live in Belarus after all. Someone will register himself with a critical replica in social networks. Someone will recall his bruising and share memories. That's not bad, but ... I am ready to support any open protest against the incident. Desirably it should be a collective one. A protest against the practice, which has been set on the conveyor. It's permanently happening everywhere. Alas, this is not an isolated case, not an exception, but the rule. The protest against the lawlessness and permissiveness of people in uniform. Against having an itching palm and violence. Against fraud and false witness,” – Anatol Liabedzka wrote on his Facebook page, charter97.org reports.

He called on everyone to join a protest rally in front of the Supreme Court on Saturday, January 30, at 11 o’clock.

“If Belarusian courts have turned into torture and mockery chambers, at least change the signs on the buildings”, – the politician said.

“Indeed, I had other plans and events, but now that outweighs everything else on my side of the scale! Perhaps we will not dramatically change the situation, but at least we will not stop respect ourselves! See you on Saturday at 11!” – Liabedzka wrote.

A spokesman for the Supreme Court has apologized for beating the journalists during the trial of graffiti artists.

We remind that on January 25, a journalist Pavel Dabravolski, who was capturing on video the detention of activists, that had unfurled a banner at the trial of “the case of graffiti artists”, was detained along with the protesters and beaten. According to the detainees, they were kicked for about several dozen times. The sounds of beating could be heard in the courtroom. After that, the court of Frunzenski district of Minsk fined them Br 9-10 million.
