Sole Traders Are Busy Bees, Bureaucrats Are Loafers

1

The leader of the United Civil Party told who suffers from the corruption in the country most.

In the international rating of Transparency International Belarus takes the 107th position out of 168. What does it mean, the leader of the UCP Anatol Liabedzka discusses.

“We are close to the leaders of the rating, Denmark and Sweden, which have overcome the corruption problem. Systemic reforms are needed for obtaining results in the fight against corruption: economic, political and managerial reforms. The most corrupt fields in our country are oil refining, agriculture and construction. The problem of Belarus is not in the laws, but in their implementation. There are good articles in the Constitution, but what is all that to a common citizen? They are written on paper, and paper can’t blush.

For example, sole traders have become recent victims of corruption. They are busy bees, who are manufacturing the honey Lukashenka had been talking about. And officials are drones, lazybones, who simply eat this honey at best. And in this conflict the president sided with the state monopolies, and creates some preferences for them. Sole traders are ousted from the market.

As for our “progress” – we are remaining in the same place: side by side with Africa and Latin America,” – Anatol Liabedzka told in an interview to belsat.eu.
