Belarusians Getting Ready To Celebrate Freedom Day

The organizing committee for the celebration of Freedom Day-2016 has been created in Minsk.

On Thursday, January 28, the leaders of the Belarusian Popular Front, the movement “For Freedom”, the United Civil Party and the organizing committee of the party Belarusian Christian Democracy agreed to create the organizing committee for the celebration of Freedom Day on March 25, BelaPAN reports.

“March 25 is the most important date in the history of modern Belarus, it unites all Belarusians, devoted to the ideals of the BPR, regardless of age, political views and party affiliation – the organizing committee’s announcement says. – We therefore call all concerned political and social organizations and initiatives to delegate their representatives to the organizing committee and take an active part in preparing and holding the celebrations of Freedom Day on March 25.”

The first meeting of the Organizing Committee will be held at the headquarters of the BPF on February 3.

A march and a rally are traditionally held in Minsk on March 25.
