How “Russian” Crimea Is Sold In Belarus

What else besides the toy “little green men” can be seen on the shelves of the Belarusian stores.

The news that the company “BudInfoService” from the annexed Crimea will provide its services to Russian military towns in Belarus, prompted “Salidarnasts” to recall the other Crimean tracks.

“Buslik” and “polite people”

In August, the social activist Siarhei Bachun posted a photo of a set of figures “Polite people” taken in one of the baby-goods stores “Buslik”, on Fasebook. By their appearance, the figurines reminiscent of the soldiers of the Russian special forces, who took an active part in the annexation of the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea. Soon the photos appeared in the media and the employees of the store “Buslik” had to justify themselves.

“Muscat Massandra” and sunflower oil “Crimean GOST”

Various food products, connected with the “Russian” Crimea in one way or another, are increasingly found on the shelves of Belarusian stores.

For example, sunflower oil “Crimean GOST” and “Sevastopolskoye” (“Sevastopol”) appear regularly on the shelves of the stores “Belmarket”, owned by the Russian consortium “Alpha-Group”.

Supermarkets “Hippo”, owned by a foreign unitary enterprise “BelVillesden” sell Crimean wine “Muscat Massandra”. Russia is indicated as the country of origin of the drink.

To Crimea via Russia

Despite the warnings of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry against the entry to the Crimea from Russia, because this will cause amenability in Ukraine, some Belarusian travel agencies continue to send Belarusians to the annexed peninsula exactly via this route.
