The last political prisoner in the case of the Square-2010 has turned 40 today.

Co-Chairman of the steering committee for creating the party “Belarusian Christian Democracy” Pavel Seviarynets has said this in an interview to the charter97.org website, commenting upon the transfer of political prisoner Uladzimir Kondrus to the “Navinki” mental hospital for the “psychiatric examination”.

- This seems an all-round pressure on a person. It’s not Uladzimir Kondrus who should stand trial but those who fabricate elections and beat innocent people. Sooner or later, fair trials will happen. Sadly, but the current system is trying to destroy those who are ready to stand against it solely. It sees a solitude hero in Kondrus, and wants to break him by keeping him in prison, by tortures, and now by such a filthy trick as trying to present a person as mentally ill only because he protects his dignity and is willing to contradict the system.

Herein, the system itself wants to make an impression on all the other citizens that it will happen to everyone who raises his hand on this system or tries to contradict it. Therefore, the Belarusians should express their solidarity with Uladzimir, support him, pray and come out with the actions of protest like the one which is scheduled for tomorrow. It is necessary to demand freedom for the political prisoners in Belarus, in Minsk city center tomorrow.

We remind, the peaceful action with a demand to return power to the people will be held at 6 p.m. tomorrow, November 24 in the Freedom Square in Minsk.
