Authorities Talk About Rise Of Price Of Utility Bills

Judging by the statements of Deputy Prime Minister, utility bills may rise by the end of the year.

According to the results of 2016, Belarusians will pay 60% of the cost of communal services. Deputy Prime Minister Anatoly Kalinin said about this at a joint session of the "Chamber of Representatives" and "Council of Republic" on November 30. According to him, it was planned earlier, that the Belarusians will pay 50%, but taking into account a "number of implemented programs, mechanisms, strict assessment and control" a new figures of 60% appeared, euroradio.fm informs.

According to Kalinin, it is expected, that in 2016 the expenses of Belarusian housing and communal services will be reduced by 255 million rubles, or by 16% compared to the last year. These funds will be used for other purposes. Among other things, they will allow to freeze the rise of utility bills this year, the Deputy Prime Minister said.
