Police Detained Drunken Writers After Get-Together With Charhinets

Writers nicely celebrated a meeting of Lukashenka's Union of Writers.

On November 29, some members of Belarusian Union of Writers were detained by police officers for appearance in a public place in a drunken state, naviny.by reports.

A Congress of Union of Writers of Belarus took place in Minsk on November 29. Mikalai Charhinets was re-elected its Chairman. The Congress ended with a banquet in the Victoria Hotel. Some writers were detained on their way home. Including the writer Anatol Kudlasevich and the poet Pavel Shrub.

As Anatol Kudlasevich wrote on his Facebook, they kept him about 20 minutes in the police station, they searched him and didn't draw any protocol against him.

After Kudlasevich had come out of the police station, he found out that 10 Belarusian rubles from his pocket, 12 dollars from his passport and gloves were missing.
