Statkevich On Kosinets’ Dismissal: No Sense Watching Lick-Spittles Wandering Around Their Master’s Body

Nothing will change in Belarus just because an official-executive X replaced an official-executive Y at a certain position.

The dismissal of two key officials in the leading institution of the country, the Head of Lukashenka’s Administration and his First Deputy, has not become a sensation. Meanwhile, the expert community finds it hard to explain the reasons thereof, belaruspartisan.org writes.

Last January, explaining the nuances of his personnel policy at a press-conference, Lukashenka said the following about now-dismissed Kosinets:

"Kosinets is not a fool. He is an educated person, Doctor of Sciences, he went through this life from the village and knows life better than anyone. I think this is good for a Head of Administration. You can become something more afterwards, like a president or a PM, if you have corresponding qualities,” — Lukashenka assessed Kosinets’ potential.

This statement made Kosinets a “favourite” and gave grounds to consider him a possible “successor”.

Many experts refused to comment on the news about Kosinets’ dismissal, referring to reasonable excuses like illness or lack of information.

Uladzimir Matskevich gave an eloquent comment:

"I don’t see the difference between all of them – Kosinets, Mitskevich, Sidorski. They all look the same to me. Dummies. What can I say about this? An official-executive X replaced an official-executive Y at a certain position. Why, what for? The tactical-technical characteristics of the official-executive Y better meet the situation than the ones of the official-executive X.

Moreover, the official-executive X got exhausted and needs to be upgraded,” — the political analyst has said.

Mikalai Statkevich has been more abrupt:

"Let us see whom he will put on this place and where he will send the dismissed one. However, frankly speaking, I have no wish to clutter my mind with the lick-spittles wandering around their master’s body. I just don’t see any sense,” — the politician has said.
