Decree On "Social Parasites" Is To Be Amended

The list of categories of citizens, who will not be regarded as "parasites", will be expanded.

The norms of the presidential decree "On the prevention of social dependency" are to be amended before the end of 2016. The decision was taken at a meeting with Aliaksandr Lukashenka.

As the press-service of the governor informs, it’s planned to expand the list of categories of citizens who are exempt from paying the fee: for example, those, who does an alternative service, athletes who are in the list of representatives of a Belarusian national sport team and who do not get any income.

"In addition, the paid income tax on individuals will take into account the amount of the tax, for which it has been reduced as a result of the established by law tax deductions, such as in the case of the provision of state social support in housing construction or getting an education," – the press-service informs.

Another change will concern the postponement of the issuance of notifications and payments for 2015 on 20 January and 20 February 2017 respectively. "It's done, taking into account the need to improve the information data base of the payers," – the report says.

It is expected that local authorities will be entitled to free citizens from the payment of the fee in difficult life situations.
