Tragedy In Mozyr: Father Killed Two Minors

The father himself informed the police about the murder, and then jumped out of the 4th floor.

A father killed his own children in Mozyr. Investigators found a 9-year-old girl, who had been strangled, in one of the high-rise buildings. And her 17-year-old brother – the guy died of blows with a hammer, STV channel reports.

The father himself informed about the murder, who, as it was later established by experts, was drunk. After the call the man tried to commit suicide and jumped out of the 4th floor. But he stayed alive. A criminal case was opened against him.

Maryia Kryvanohava, an official representative of the Investigative Committee of Homel region:

"Viewing the apartment, we found bodies of a 9-year-old girl and her 17-year-old brother with signs of violent death. After a call to the police the man attempted to commit suicide by jumping out of the balcony. With injuries of varying severity, he was taken to the intensive care unit. At this point investigators of the criminal case are questioning witnesses in order to establish the motive of the committed crime,” – Maryia Kryvanohava said.
