Photofact: Books About DPR And Crimea At Minsk Book Fair

Books by odious pro-Russian authors are displayed at the book fair.

An international book fair opened its doors in Minsk. Among books displayed at the fair there are books by odious pro-Russian authors, which express their view of the events in the Crimea and eastern Ukraine, Euroradio reports. Such books as Battle for Donbass (Битва за Донбас) and Defense of Odessa (Оборона Одессы) were displayed on the lower level of the exhibition center Belexpo, away from the main exponents.

One can buy these books at Br25 000. The book Kiev Kaput (Киев капут) by Eduard Limonov is also available for purchase. Its price is Br70 000.

Books by Nobel laureate for literature Svetlana Alexievich are among the main exponents of the fair. All of them were published by the Russian publishing house Time. Belarusian state publishing houses have not provided any of her books.

Stands with books published by the Belarusian independent publishing houses are also presented at the fair: Goliaths, ARCHE, publishing house of Zmitser Kolas.
