Authorities Want Sole Traders To Sell Unsaleable Goods Of Loss-Making Viasnianka

The fate of Viasnianka factory is to be decided in Mahilyou. Its warehouses are packed with goods manufactured for three months.

Once a successful clothing factory, now it is an insolvent company, Belsat reports.

Recently the chairman of Mahilyou regional executive committee Uladzimir Damanesuki addressed representatives of the countries’ state bodies with a request to outline the problem in order to decide the future of the clothes factory Viasnianka in Mahilyou.

“Now the state is making very serious and responsible steps concerning imports of goods from other countries. There is almost no competition left. You should do to sole traders and seek agreement with them, sell your goods. If it is not done – what for Viasnianka is? We should feed and develop the region,” – Uladzimir Damanesuki said during the consultations.

In early November the factory was moved to four-day week, the building of the factory store was prepared for sale, and some workers said that wages were less than Br1.5 million.
