Belarusian Servicemen Went To CSTO Military Exercises

The exercises are to be held in two phases at the training ground Magob in Tajikistan from April 18 to 22.

On April 17, Belarusian troops departed to the venue of the joint exercises “Search-2016” with the reconnaissance forces of the States members of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

As the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Defense informs, the exercises will be held in two phases at the training ground Magob in Tajikistan from April 18 to 22.

The aim of the exercises is to test the ability of intelligence authorities to organize reconnaissance, and its practical management of subordinate forces and assets, as well as to evaluate the qualification level of intelligence agencies in carrying out training and combat tasks under different conditions. In addition, the intelligence agencies will be tested in their ability to complete tasks in the Central Asian region of collective security.

About 40 servicemen of the electronic, military and special reconnaissance will take part in exercises from the Belarusian side.
