Policemen Are On Watch For Siuchyk Near His House Again
VIACHASLAU SIUCHYK

On April 20 late at night Viachaslau Siuchyk was served upon copies of three reports and a writ. He was to appear in the court of Tsentralny district of Minsk.

The leader of the solidarity movement Razam had been waited for by policemen in mufti near his house, for the documents to be handed over personally. On April 20 in the morning policemen tried to get into his flat, but no one opened the door to them.

As Radio Svaboda was told by Viachaslau Siuchyk, in the afternoon a policeman from Staradarozhski district called him, and asked about the names and phone numbers of the people, who on April 14 paid the tribute to the memory of dwellers of the village of Drazhyna, executed by partisans to death in the war time.

On April 14, on the day of the 73th anniversary of the tragedy, the solidarity movement Razam, headed by Viachaslau Siuchyk, held a commemoration event on the scene.

Viachaslau Siuchyk believes that the actions of policemen from Staryja Darohi and Minsk are coordinated, as they act at the command of their superiors.

The trial over Viachaslau Siuchyk is to start at 3 p.m. in the court of Tsentralny district of Minsk.

We remind that on Wednesday the court of Tsentralny district tried the case of Siuchyk, who had been cruelly detained and beaten up by policemen on the night before near his house. Two reports were drawn up against him: on charges relating Articles 17.1 and 23.4 of the Administrative Code – hooliganism and insubordination to police officers. However the judge sent the reports back to the police department to be corrected, as they “do not align with facts.”
