Sole Traders Say: “We Are Sick And Tired!”

Today, opposition news-bulletins are the faster-moving-item in the markets.

Chairman of the United Civil Party Anatol Liabedzka said that after his meeting with Homel sole traders, charter97.org reports.

“Homel. Davydauski Market. Today bulletins “Manifesto 11” (how to solve small businesses and sole traders’ problems) is the faster-moving-item.

We were talking to a sole trader, explaining the provisions of the “Manifesto” to him. He held out his hand: “Everything is sensible and to the point. Now I want to listen to Liabedzka, they say he is somewhere at the market...“( jungle telegraph was working).

“Well, conceive that you have already listened to him,” – that moment I held out my hand to the surprised and slightly embarrassed companion,” – Anatol Liabedzka wrote.

The security of the Homel Central Market tried to prevent the meeting with sole traders, but opposition activists managed to distribute informational materials and hold a few spontaneous rallies at city markets.

“There is some kind of a rush among the security forces at the Homel Central Market. For one solid hour five assorted people with “security” badges have been following us, begging to leave the market. First, there was the standard jump on, “We are calling the police!” It did not work, and degenerated into some outright nagging.

Meanwhile, about 300 bulletins with “Platform 11” have been handed out. There have been mass-meetings at several places. Some sole traders felt free to speak to the camera. It seems, in fact, that they are really sick and tired!” – the leader of the United Civil Party said.

We remind that in February Belarusian sole traders held three major protests in Minsk on Kastrychnitskaya Square. Sole traders demanded to annul the Decree № 222 on the compulsory product certification and the resignation of ministers, the government and Lukashenka. Sole traders and opposition leaders claimed that the protest rallies would continue. To this end, sole traders created the Solidarity trade union in Minsk in April.
