Lukashenka: Electricity Should Be Used Instead of Gas and Oil

The dictator has finally realized that nobody is going to buy the energy of the Astravets nuclear power plant.

Lukashenka considers expanding use of electricity in the country in view of the upcoming commissioning of the Belarusian nuclear power plant. He stated it today talking to Yelsk district with local residents, BelTA reports.

According to Lukashenka, there will be enough electricity after the entering into service of the Belarus' NPP.

"Our neighbours could hardly buy the energy. Russia and Ukraine have enough. Europe has its own energy. It is hard to sell it," the ruler stated.

"So I say that today we should be prepared to use electricity instead of gas and oil," Lukashenka said.

He noted that the current level of prices should be preserved.

"Gas and oil are going to increase in price, and the energy will be much cheaper," he said.

Lukashenka finds it necessary now to include the increased use of electricity when entering into service of new objects of housing.

"As soon as you see that the electricity is more useful that gas, you'll buy an electric stove," the "president" noted.

Another perspective direction is the development of the electro cars, Lukashenka believes.
