Aliaksandr Bukhvostau: Workers Forced To Wall

The builder, who has climbed to the tower crane at the Dinamo stadium, has chosen an extreme way to fight for his rights.

Chairman of the Free Trade Union of Metalworkers Aliaksandr Bukhvostau said that to charter97.org, commenting on the fact, that the worker had climbed to the tower crane at the Dinamo stadium and demanded to pay off his salary:

– The worker is right. There are no other ways to fight for the present. He has chosen the most extreme one.

– Does it mean some kind of a trend?

– Country's enterprises have been working part-time week for two years. Many organizations have been delaying salaries. The man just could not stand that. As they say, the workers have been forced to the wall.

This protest was individual. But there could start mass protests as well. After all, the official trade unions do not deal with the problems of the workers.

In this situation, the man has chosen a normal European way: to fight for his rights.
