The activist considers that was the Ministry of Transport officials’ revenge.

The decision to appoint Mikalai Autukhovich the leader of the solidarity movement “Razam” was taken at the congress of the organization on May 15. A few days earlier, he learned that his firm “Nika-Taxi 22222” had been deprived of the license, the site palitviazni.info reports.

“Officials might have decided that it’s time to shut Autukhovich's mouth, – Mikalai Autukhovich said. –. They want to take revenge. And I have actually demonstrated not once, that transport authorities work unprofessionally. They got angry, sent an inspection and, as the result, deprived me of the license. It is revenge!”

“I did not immediately agree to lead the movement, but eventually I was convinced to do it, – Mikalai says about his new position. – The responsibility, of course, is great. I understand this, but I'm a responsible person, and if I snap into action, then I try to do it honestly, because I do not like throwing empty words and do not want to lose the gained credibility.”

According to Mikalai Autukhovich, his business in Vaukavysk is not an obstacle to work in the movement for the simple reason that these days the firm has been deprived of the license.

“Last Friday, they called at the firm's office and told us that we had been deprived of the license, –he said. – They warned that we could go on working for the next two weeks. We had been deprived of the license only because one of our employees had failed to pass inspection in due time. By the way, for this violation we were punished in December last year – the Hrodna regional economic court inflicted penalty, which we paid off. And that was our only offense, and we could have just been warned. Now at least 25 people are left out of work. And everyone has a family, some people have taken loans ... And it is almost impossible to find a job in a regional center.”

Autukhovich believes that there is no sense to appeal the decision of transport authorities.

“For the whole year they have been pressing us for nothing, pouncing on nothings, – he continues. – I spoke about the current situation at a recent meeting with the Minister of Transport. We have a whole pile of documents that we are going to send to the prosecutor’s office. There might be abuse of office and illegal interference with entrepreneurship activities. The state also loses. Now, for example, we do not buy 200 liters of diesel fuel every day, spare parts, we do not pay taxes. Officials do not understand that.” The former political prisoner says that now, without the main place of work, he will concentrate on the affairs of the movement of solidarity “Razam.”

“I will not stay out of work – he adds. – But I feel sorry for those people, who have worked at the firm, who have been thrown into the street by the government.”
