Banners Against Putin’s Bikers Appeared Just Outside Baranavichy

Banners against the pro-Kremlin bikers from the club "Night Wolves" hang on the road bridges in the Baranovichi district.

The banners appeared at 13:00 on the road bridges near village Kaupenitsa, Paunochny microdistrict in Baranavichy and Zorny settlement.

It was written on the banners: “No to fascism! No to Russian fascism too. Putinists, go home!”, “Belarus is not Russia”, “We‘re not giving our land to anyone”.

As the representatives of the “For Freedom” movement told to Radio Svaboda, the banners hand there for about an hour:

“The vehicle flow on the highway was intense and the drivers greeted the banners with hooting. There were a lot of cars with Russian numbers passing by at that time. Two of the three banners were deliberately written in Russian language as the main message was addressed to the Russians. We consider the action to be successful. The main thing is that the passing by people saw the banners. And the main message that there are people who will defend their land from any filth”, – an unnamed activists said.

Representatives of the biker club "Night Wolves" are going to motor race to Berlin, and their route goes through Belarus. They are going to hold a press conference at the Russian Consulate in Brest on the morning of May 1. After that, they intend to go to the border crossing "Warsaw Bridge" all together. Last year their route ended at that point. This year they also can experience difficulties, since Poland has already announced that it will not let Russian bikers to enter its territory.
