Statkevich and Nyaklyayew Promote the Belarusian National Congress in the Regions

Residents of Hlubokaye met with the opposition politicians Mikalai Statkevich and Uladzimir Nyaklyayew.

The politicians came to tell about the Belarusian National Congress. They talked about the election in "the House of Representatives", which is planned for September 11 and forming a list of candidates from opposition, Radio Racyja reports.

Mikalai Statkevich, the chairman of the People's Hramada. The Congress's objective is to consolidate democratic forces of the country to build up free, independent and effective Belarus.

Statkevich and Nyaklyayew ask local activists to support the Congress in their organizations at their level and to promote the alliance in the party.

"Only alliance can bring us victory," Statkevich noted.

All the people present at the meeting voted for the National Congress. In the end Uladzimir Nyaklyayew signed his books and read poetry.

It should be reminded that the organizing committee filed an application to the Mingorispolkom to rent a premise to hold the Belarusian National Congress on May 15.

Mikalai Statkevich, Uladzimir Nyaklyayew, Stanislau Shushkevich, Zmitser Dashkevich, Vyachyslau Siuchyk, Andrei Sannikov, Henadz Fyadynich and Mikhail Pastukhou are going to take part in the congress.
