Largest Belarusian Banks Suffer Losses

State banks are the first who suffer big losses.

TK Bank with Iranian capital, in respect of which the National Bank once again extended the ban to conduct some operations last week, however, took the first place in net profit in the banking system of Belarus in the first quarter of 2016.

Despite the licensing restrictions (prohibition to attract deposits from individuals and legal entities, the distribution of securities and the emission of banking cards), net profit of the TK Bank grew up in 8.3 times over the year.

It got the foot of Belarusian state banks, subsidiaries of Russian banks and Priorbank, Zautra Tvaie Krainy writes.

RRB-Bank, BTA-Bank (16.2 times increase if to compare with the same period last year), Paritetbank (by 8.5) top the "net profit" list.

Belarusbank, Idea Bank and Alfa-Bank with an increased net profit in 6, 3 and 2.8 times respectively are in the top-10 best banks.

State banks with the lion's share of assets in the banking market have faced the drop in revenue.

The net profit of the Belarusbank takes the 7th position with losses by 4.3 times. Belagroprombank's profit quartered and left the top-10 banks of the country. Now it takes the 12th position.

It is noteworthy that BPS-Bank and Belinvestbank also lost their positions.

The first one has suffered losses by 4.6 times, this it takes only the 20th position. Belinvestbank takes 21st position, its profit decreased by 6.5 times in the first quarter, if to compare with the same period last year.
