Liabedzka: More Of State Means More Corruption
ANATOL LIABEDZKA

Appetites of the corrupt officials’ stratum in Belarus are simply way over the limit.

Anatol Liabedzka, the chairman of the United Civil Party, has written about that at ucpb.org.

“The Investigative Committee is investigating a criminal case against a former CEO of Mogilev Car Manufacturing Plant and other persons.

According to investigators, the executive had been given a bribe of $759,200 by a representative of a business structure. It was given for concluding a contract with a foreign company on deliveries of cars, and timely payments.

What does it mean?! The more of the state, the higher corruption exists. The higher the share of the state in property is, the higher are appetites of the corrupted sector.

And one more thing: how do you think, will the top management of the car manufacturing plant and other CEOs and their entourage support reforms in the country, fight for a new economic policy?! They are really comfortable in the framework of the old system!” – Anatol Liabedzka writes.
