Mikalai Charnavus: “Crooked Officials, Prison Is The Very Place For You!”

The activist from Baranavichy held a picket against the arbitrariness of local officials.

A sole trader and social activist from Baranavichy Mikalai Charnavus continues to struggle with state embezzlement. He held an hour and a half picket in the old city park, which is a place, permitted by the authorities, Radio Racyja informs.

The activist has not informed the local authorities about the picket in advance, because he is sure he wouldn’t get their permission. The aim of the picket was clearly outlined on the poster, which the sole trader was holding.

– The poster read: “Crooked Officials, Prison Is The Very Place For You!” They have got out of hand completely, they rake in heaps of money, they are afraid of nothing, hoping that even if they get in prison, Lukashenka will release them, – the businessman said.

According to Charnavus, the picket was held without any incidents. The picket was seen by few people due to working hours, unfavourable weather and deserted place. However, the issue of corruption is acute and urgent. Mikalai Charnavus is going to continue to talk about it.
