Court Conveyor Fines People For Solidarity With Eduard Palchys

Activists have been fined for 4 to 50 base fees for participation in the action of solidarity with the creator of the website1863х.com.

Coordinator of the “European Belarus” civil campaign Maxim Viniarski has informed this on his Facebook page.

Co-Chairman of the steering committee for creating the party “Belarusian Christian Democracy” Paval Seviarynets has been fined for 50 base fees (BYR 10,5 million) by the Maskouski district court of Minsk . The court has taken this decision in absentia as Pavel Seviarynets failed to appear in court.

“European Belarus” activist Leanid Kulakou has been sentenced to a fine for 4 base fees (BYR 810K) by judge Tsyprun.

Coordinator of the “European Belarus” civil campaign Maxim Viniarski has been fined for 50 base fees (BYR 10,5 million).

Acitvist of the United Civil Party Dzianis Krauchuk has been fined for 25 base fees (BYR 5,25 million), activist and HR defender Natallia Harachka-Basaliha — for 50 base fees.

UCP activist Anton Zhylko was sentenced to a fine for 50 base fees back on June 27.

Film director and civil activist Volha Nikalaichyk has been sentenced in absentia, she will receive a notification on the sum of the fine via mail.

On June 9, the activists held an action of solidarity with founder of the website 1863x.com Eduard Palchys (aka Jhon Silver) who remains under guard in Minsk pre-trial detention center #1.

Editor of the website www.1863x.com Eduard Palchys was detained in Russia and extradited to Belarus on May 26. He is accused under part 1 Article 130 (incitement of race, ethnic or religious hatred or hostility) and Part 2 Article 343 (distribution of pornographic materials) of the Criminal Code.
