Bobruisk Heads And Afficials Striving To Get To “House Of Representatives”

Three Bobruisk election commissions have completed the acceptance of documents for initiative groups’ registration.

For the first few days applicants from the democratic community were registering their documents in the commissions, later they were joined by competitors with a strong “back up” – by local heads and officials, the spring96.org site reports.

In Pervamaiski district Aleh Zhalnou’s (UCP) opponents will be chief of Babruisk “Beltelecom” department Aliaksandr Babtsou and head of “Belshyna” assembly shop №2 Vital Ulasevich.

Traditionally, the majority of applicants have been registered by the Lenin District Commission. There are seven of them this time. We remind that Taisiya Kabanchuk’s initiative group (BCD) has been already registered there.

Also, Iryna Ryneiskaya (the head of Education, Sports and Tourism department of the City Executive Committee) and Dzmitry Chystabaeu’s (deputy director for production of the Printing Works named after Nepahodzin) groups got the registration. Ruslan Chevichelau, the director of the private construction company “Buhel,” is making another attempt. His initiative group failed to collect the required number of signatures at the last elections for the “house of representatives,” and it didn’t go as far as the registration. Aliaksandr Kisel, a security guard in the “Noah's Ark” store , and Siarhei Bialianau, a kindergarten worker, are taking part in the “elections” as well.

Four initiative groups have been registered by the Sel’ski constituency commission. Arseni Chyhir represents the BCD. They have quite serious opponents – Maryja Sushchanka, the chairman of the Hlushansk executive committee, and Ihar Kananchuk, the general director of the JSC ”Grandma's Jug.”
