Erdogan To Arrive In Minsk

This April the Turkish president received Lukashenka’s invitation to visit Belarus.

The Turkish Embassy is working on the organization of president Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s visit to Minsk, BelaPAN was told in the Turkish embassy.

Erdogan received Lukashenka’s invitation to visit Belarus during the meeting in Istanbul at the “Organization of Islamic Cooperation” summit this April. The Turkish president expressed readiness to visit Belarus.

Erdogan's visit has not been announced officially, but the website of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce reports about the Belarusian-Turkish Business Forum to be held “in the framework of President of the Republic of Turkey Erdogan’s visit to the Republic of Belarus” on July 29.

“The visit has been planned. We didn’t get any instructions concerning its cancellation. The embassy is working on the organization of the visit and the business forum,” – a Turkish Embassy employee said.

It is expected that Erdogan and Lukashenka will take part in the opening ceremony of the jameh mosque in Minsk, which is scheduled for July 29, head of the Muslim community Imam Zarif Zuludi informed.

We remind that on the night of July 16 there was an attempt of a coup in Turkey.
