Belarusian Real Incomes Hit All-Time Low

According to the statistics, since the beginning of the year real incomes of the population have decreased by 7% - it's hit all-time low.

Real disposable money income has been falling from the beginning of the year . For example, in January it decreased by 5.4% compared with the same period in 2015, in January and February - by 6.4%, in January-March - by 6.5%, in January-April - by 6.8% and in January-May - by 7%. It hits all-time low not only this year, but a year earlier, tut.by informs.

According to the results of 2015, disposable money income dropped by 5.9%. To compare: in 2011 it decreased by 1.1%, in 1995 - by 34.5%.

The government forecasts that this year real disposable money income of the Belarusians will increase by 0.5% against a year earlier. But it is not the first year when the forecast has failed to be true. For example, the growth of this indicator was planned by 1.1-1.5% in 2015, but in fact it turned out to be negative.

In January-May an average salary amounted to 6 million 917.6 thousand non-denominated rubles a month. For the first 5 months real wages decreased by 4.6% compared to the same period in 2016.

It will be recalled that in January-May prices increased by 7%, in June - by 0.4%.

Meanwhile, experts predict the freezing of the income growth.
