Mikalai Autukhovich: People Running Out Of Patience

The labour conditions of the entrepreneurs are deteriorating every day due to endless inspections.

Leader of the committee for entrepreneurs’ support “Solidarity” Mikalai Autukhovich has told why the entrepreneurs became quiet, in an interview to Radio Racyja:

- At present, the entrepreneurs quietened down, waiting what will happen next. They thought before that they had already sunk to the bottom, but it turned out the bottom was a long way to come yet. They are waiting for the sun to shine. Still, the people have families to support, they need to prepare their children for the upcoming school year. It is not so easy to find a job either. So, the entrepreneurs are bustling about. Sometimes they even go for petty infringements of the law, as the buying capacity of the population remains low, and the taxes need paying. The state creates such conditions for the entrepreneurs so that they are forced to commit those violations, and then punishes them with huge fines. I think this cannot last for long. The people will run out of patience sooner or later.

- However, not all entrepreneurs are ready and want to stand for their rights. Right?

- A person usually takes the most desperate measures and starts fighting when they lose everything. Now many have certain resources, so they wouldn’t lift their heads, but sit quietly, even under the pressure. We are travelling around the regions now, speaking with people. It is necessary to keep abreast of events.
