So Whose Carrot Is It?

Trying on an image of a bunny with a carrot, the American actor seems to have been guided by commercial considerations.

Who has not laughed at Steven Seagal, who took a root vegetable from Lukashenka's hands? However, further events have shown that the American actor is not a simpleton, satisfying his vanity by meeting with the ruler of Belarus. An advertising article, informing that Steven Seagal will buy an entire floor of the “Minsk Mayak” (“Lighthouse of Minsk”) ,was published on the site of the news agency BelTA on Monday.

It’s hard to believe that the American actor provided his services to the Dana Holdings company for free. This means that Steven Seagal will leave Belarus with some earnings in his pockets, “Salidarnasts” writes. The question is whether Dana Holdings was involved in organizing of the meeting of the actor with Lukashenka.

If we assume that they were not involved, it follows that Segal used the head of Belarus and the visit to him in order to draw attention of potential advertisers. However, only of domestic ones – there are no photos with Lukashenka on the actor's pages on social networks.

But other variant is more possible. Dana Holdings group of companies is controlled by the Serbian businessmen - brothers Karic. In December 2015, during his trip to Belgrade, Steven Segal received the award of “Karic Brothers Fund” for humanitarian activities. Then he met with the leadership of this country. A month later, the actor became a citizen of Serbia.

It is possible that when the real estate investors began to complain about the poor quality of work in the residential complex “Minsk Mayak”, Serbian businessmen had decided to use Steven Seagal to protect themselves from the anger of Aliaksandr Lukashenka.

The former star or action films have been trying to make money in the CIS countries before. Steven Segal had met with Vladimir Putin and became an honorary citizen of Kalmykia, he called Ramzan Kadyrov a “brother” and danced lezginka in Grozny.

As low level of culture of part of population allows primitive pop music artists regularly go earning money to Belarusian cities, so strange ideas of “the high culture” make the leadership of the country an object of interest for the outdated stars like Gerard Depardieu and Steven Seagal.
