Volha Mayorava: I Tried To Ensure The United Civil Party Against Disgrace

UCP activist is outraged with consent of the party to accept the mandate of Anna Kanapatskaya.

Volha Mayorava posted the following statement on Facebook:

- I, Volha Mayorava, tried to do my best to ensure the United Civil Party and me against disgrace caused by the consent of the party to accept the mandate of the "deputy" of the "Parliament" Anna Kanapatskaya.

The main issue - how is it possible to simultaneously recognize the elections illegitimate in the whole country and make an exception for a particular precinct? This is not about simple solidarity with other members of the party.

I asked other questions:

1) Why does a person who has ruined the work of the city UCP organization hope to resist all pro-government parliament?

2) A few days ago our volunteers were told at the party's office: "Will your candidate be removed from elections? It's great! Do you want to be in the Parliament? Then you'd better go to the Tell the Truth!

What has changed today??? Double standards?

3) Why did no one in the office ask any question about volunteers who had been deprived of accreditation and expelled from polling stations? No one even tried to gather people unless we demanded it.

4) Why did office workers accept the rigging at Kanapatskaya precinct a few days ago, but that did not stop them from enjoying her "election"?

5) What are the mechanisms of Kanapatskaya influence on decisions made by the "Parliament" and how will Anna promote ideas of the party, even if she did not indicate any partisanship, any reference to the program "One million of new jobs" on her election billboard?

6) How will she represent the party's opinion if she did not come to rally against election fraud? Party leaders and activists were there.

7) Why do people from regions write, call and ask what's going on? Where is the stated collegiality?

8) Why does the party leadership say that acceptance of the mandate is a personal business of Kanapatskaya and party can only give recommendations although the nomination was based on party lists? However, it is obvious that in any case the leadership supports her decision.

On September 25 there will be the meeting of speakers (deputy nominees) to sum up the campaign. Not all candidates are invited. I will represent our team and will require answers to all my questions. If there are no convincing answers and no understanding of our position, I will not consider myself a member of the party anymore.
