100 Basic Units For One Can Of Herring

A tradeswoman from Krychau harshly punished for goods without documents.

According to the court, a sitizen of Krychau was fined 100 basic units for illegal trade. The woman got caught during the controlled buy – she sold a can of herring at 4.5 rubles to the tax officers, tut.by informs.

The 64-year-old woman was trading near the central market of Krychau. She made no secret that she was selling goods – mostly fish – not for the first time. According to the tax officers, the tradeswoman admitted guilt, but did not come to the hearing.

When making a decision the court took into account that the accused “did not repent of her deeds, she committed the violation willfully”. It was also taken into consideration that it was the 11th fine for the women – she was repeatedly caught by the tax officers in 2009, and from 2011 to 2016.

The Krychau dweller had no documents for the food products and she was trading in the place not appropriate for that. The court didn’t find any circumstances mitigating the administrative responsibility, but it noted that the previous fines hadn’t taught the accused to respect the law.

That is why the woman was fined a maximum fine – 100 basic units or 2100 Belarusian rubles.

The decision has not entered into force and may be appealed.
