Mikhail Kavalkou commented on the suicide of the worker of Babruisk plant of tractor parts, fittings and accessories.

Dzmitry Aliakseyeu hung himself in the basement of the enterprise in the evening on September 27.

– Everyone who knew Dzima, are shocked. A young man, who was only 38 years old, voluntarily hung himself, – the free trade union leader Mikhail Kavalkou said to praca-by.info.

– From what we know, we can conclude that the reason for the suicide were family and financial problems. He was paying child support, besides his family was paying off loans. They wrote that he committed suicide after he had received a salary payslip. In fact the factory distributes payslips on 10th of each month.

Probably, he was provoked by the fact that on 26-27th all but him received wages (according to “Nasha Niva” Dzmitry Aliakseyeu spent his advance money on food and on catering in the canteen - comment).

I think that the company, including his immediate bosses, knew about his financial problems . But I think that even if he had asked ideologists or to someone else for help, they would have turned a blind eye on him. Nor would the colleagues help – now such times have come that no one can get the money out of his pocket and put them on the table.

– I consider the suicide of Aliakseyeu a particular case which can not be taken as assessment of the mood of other employees. However, it should be noted that many families are facing a lack of money today. Several years ago, the salary of the workers of the factory was 500-700 dollars, and today the average salary is about 280. Certain categories of workers receive only 100-150 dollars. It is the country's leadership to be blamed for this in the first place.
