NEWS  Procuracy Wants Prolongation of Jail Term 11:10, 06/06/2001 Smorgon district procuracy (Grodno region) desires to extend the arrest term, brought against the activist of the Conservative Christian party BPF Viktor Turovets on May 22 this year. On that day Turovets received three days of administrative jail for organizing a May 13 action, on the eve of the Day of national flag and coat of arms. The condemned fellow claims that he was held accountable for strolling in the downtown with white-red-white flag with inscriptions "This is our native Belarusian flag", attached to his front and back.
